The 1980s are the starting point – idea of power, of aggressive, hard glamour – but also a punk attitude. Conventions of luxury are challenged, a flavour of punk paradoxically iterated with fine Italian craftsmanship. For this I aimed when working on the design of the macramé. Hard edges of the design are varnished to give a more plastic taste to the traditional technique and embellished with industrial crystals, making it a more heavy and powerful than fragile lace. On shoes, we opted for an industrial net base, to give it more body.
